Michael Mintos – Director
Mr. Mintos has worked in education for over 10 years as a teacher, coach, curriculum director, and now as Director of Franklinton Prep High School. He believes that education is the path to discovering the connectivity of the world and wants FPHS to be a place where students cultivate their dreams. Mr. Mintos has a Masters in Education from The Ohio State University and a Bachelors in Film Studies from The University of Kansas. Katie Eisel – Assistant Director
This is Ms. Eisel’s 14th year in education. Prior to becoming Assistant Director at Franklinton Prep, she worked the previous two years with Mr. Mintos at Central High School. Before that, she was an English teacher for 11 years. This past year she graduated with her Masters in educational leadership from Ohio Dominican University. In her free time she likes to travel, read books, and hang out with her two sons.
Joana Ross – Science
Ms. Ross is excited to join the staff of Franklinton Prep High School as she starts her 6th year as a science teacher. She taught in a few different states previously including Colorado and Oklahoma when her husband was serving in the Army. When she is not working, Ms. Ross likes to read, listen to podcasts, spend time with her family, and play Animal Crossing.
Jeff Clark – Microsoft Office, Business, Yearboook
Mr. Clark has been an administrator/teacher for 30+ years. He brings a strong skills set to Franklinton Prep High School that includes Mathematics, Computer Technologies & Audio/Video Production. A father of 3, Mr. Clark is often in a position of “sounding board” for students looking to gain a (grand)parental perspective on school, home, family and self.
Michael Hall – Social Studies
Mr. Hall grew up in Hilliard, OH. He started his schooling at Columbus State Community College before finishing at Bowling Green State University. He knew he wanted to be a Social Studies teacher since he was in Elementary school. He loves to watch and play sports (baseball, football, ultimate Frisbee, and more).
Margaux Waleko – English Language Arts
Ms. Waleko has a B.A. in English from Ohio University and completed her teaching licensure program at Capital University. This is her fourth year as a high school English teacher. Ms. W. is married with a four- year old daughter, Luna, and a rescue dog named Dee.
Hannah Tiell – Intervention Specialist
Mrs. Tiell just graduated from Cedarville University with a major in education! She has a passion for learning alongside students, and for soaking up as much as she can about the world around her! She has been a teacher in many settings from preschool through high school seniors, and she loves them all! She has also taught all around the world, from China to Africa to Columbus, Ohio! She is excited for this year!!
Sarah Riesterer – Math
Mrs. Riesterer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where she had the privilege of wonderful teachers that encouraged her to keep going, even when many challenges left her feeling discouraged about the future. After high school, she moved to Columbus and earned her B.S. in Aviation from OSU’s College of Engineering. Later, she decided to pursue a math teaching license and she is now entering her third year as an educator. Mrs. R loves to help her students overcome challenges in the classroom and in life. She believes that all students have the potential to succeed in school and beyond with the proper support and resources, and she looks forward to building relationships along the way.
Angelo Fagnano – Science
Mr. Fagnano has been a science teacher for the last six years. He has a bachelor’s degree in cellular/molecular biology and his master’s degree in science education. He has two sons with his wife Shelly, who is also teaching at FPHS! Mr. Fagnano’s hobbies include video games, board games, and fishing.
Shelly Fagnano – Intervention Specialist
Mrs. Fagnano grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and moved to Columbus 6 years ago. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology at Kent State University and her Intervention Specialist credentials with Ohio State University. In her free time, Mrs. Fagnano enjoys spending time doing all things outdoors with her husband and their two sons.
Barry Quinn – Attendance and Retention Specialist
Mr. Quinn comes to FPHS with 18 years of High School football coaching and AD experience, in addition to 25 years of youth development. He has worked in several High School environments in several different capacities. He enjoys his role as Mentor the most, because he loves to see the end results of young men and women, as they mature and pursue the challenges of life and all this world has to offer.
Jacqueline Jenkins – Enrollment Specialist
Jackie Jenkins received her BA in Psychology from Ohio Dominican University and her MS.ed from the University of Dayton. She has spent most of her professional career in higher education in 4 college settings. Most recently, she decided to follow her dream by accepting the Enrollment Specialist position at FPHS where she assists students with the admissions process and develops professional relationships with community partners to promote the school. She is dedicated to helping students find their path in life and to pursue their dreams. She is a proud owner of Teddie, a basset hound and Sophie, a beagle. She spends some of her free time with her running buddies and loving husband, Kevin.
Velita Harris – Healthcare
Velita Harris comes to Franklinton Prep with a background of 27years cosmetology and Entrepreneurial experience along with a budding Nursing career. As a phlebotomy teacher, she brings real world experience to a career path in Healthcare. Velita enjoys being a mother of 10 children, 5 grandchildren, a wife to Mr. Clifton Harris and the therapeutic benefits of singing, acting and spending time with friends and family.
